I used an abbreviation to return to the cycle path bypassing one bend in the river Doubs. It was not yet very hot in the morning an the small climb was not a problem. Later this day I would have avoided it. Besides the canal, the river and the locks in an awesome environment, there were two tunnels for the canal. The cycle path E6 is on the bridlepath tunnel in Besançon.
This time the camping was directly on the route. There are a lot of cyclists here.
